Greens and fringe need to be improved. Put emphasis on having well manicured greens and fringes. Plus fairway areas around greens need to be improved. May take some tilling ard reseading or just better care. Mow the greens so that there is some speed to them. Sometimes need a driver to get from one side of the green to another! Many tee boxes are bare. Need to let the grass grow a little taller on the tee boxes. They are often mowed down to green length. Roughs are nice and thick and present a good and fair challenge. However, they are often put in places where the average golfer hits a good drive and is penalized for being slightly off line. But 50 - 100 yards down the fairway where the longer hitters hit, the fairway opens up. Thus the comment from many of the scratch golfers that it is too easy of a course. The average golfer thinks differently. This also contributes to slow play. The layout of the course is quite enjoyable and the price of a membership is definitely a plus. Wish that they could spruce it up some! Doesn't have the flowers and nice neat look of many other courses I have played.
